WoolWe predominantly use wool as the main fabric for our toys. Some excellent benefits of wool as a natural renewable material include it’s breathability, temperature regulation ( keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter ), softness, odour resistance and its ability to biodegrade at the end of its life cycle.

Organic HempThe Hemp we use is grown in Ukraine without the use of pesticides and herbicides. It has many excellent qualities including: hypoallergenic, antibacterial, smells and feels good, breathable, absorbs moisture and sustainable.

Up-cycled Wool blanketsWe also offer a selection of ‘blanket editions’ soft toys ( in varying colours / patterns ) which are made using up-cycled woollen blankets. This diverts these soft quality blankets from landfill extending their life cycle and valuing the resources that were used to produce them.
Each blanket is washed prior to sewing. |
StuffingWe stuff our toys with either of the fibres listed below:
- Australian Downs wool Hypoallergenic, resistant to bacteria, mould or mildew and naturally flame retardant. Maintains comfortable body temperature no matter the season. - Eucalyptus fibre Eucalyptus fibre is super soft, biodegradable and temperature regulating, it is hypoallergenic as it releases moisture quickly, it is resistant to dust mites, bacteria and mildew. Sourced from sustainably forested eucalyptus trees, which unlike cotton require very little water to grow. |
Recycling Offcuts
When making toys, as with clothes, there will always be offcuts. To help reduce waste we collect all of our offcuts and send them to a textile recycler where they are given a second life and turned into new textile products.

PackagingOur swing tags made from 100% recycled paper
All of our toys are posted using HEROPACK mailers and printed on compostable labels. These mailers are home compostable and made from mostly plant-based materials such as PLA and a certified compostable material called PBAT. https://heropackaging.com.au/ |
